The Pickleball Game stadium: a doubles court with players, full stands and palm trees

Yes, there's a pickleball video game you can play free online, in your browser. Pickleball Game is a 3D game with singles and doubles against the computer at three difficulty levels. It needs a keyboard and mouse, and there's nothing to download and no account to make.

This page is about that game: what it does, what it doesn't, and how to use it to learn the real sport. If you're new to the sport itself, start with what pickleball is.

What do you get?

  • Singles or doubles against the computer, with the same singles and doubles rules as a real court
  • Three levels: Low, Medium and Hard
  • A 3D stadium with a referee who calls the score and the faults
  • The official 2026 USA Pickleball rules, from the two-bounce rule to the kitchen

You pick a mode and a level, and you're on the court. Teams swap ends partway through a game, as they do in tournament play.

How do you play it?

You move with the arrow keys. You aim with the mouse and click to hit the ball. That's all of it.

What it doesn't do

  • There's no online play. You play against the computer. Online matches are listed as coming soon on the site.
  • It doesn't run on phones or tablets, because it needs a keyboard and a mouse.
  • A game can't teach you what a real paddle feels like, or how to move your feet on a court. For the court itself, the court dimensions page lists every measurement.

Is there a free pickleball game for PC or Mac?

It runs in a web browser, so any desktop or laptop with a keyboard and mouse can open it. There's no app to install and no account to make. Open the game and the setup screen appears.

If your school or work network blocks game sites, this one may be blocked there too. It's an ordinary website, and we don't offer ways around a filter.

Other pickleball video games

Console, PC and VR pickleball games exist, and most of them cost money. The checked list of free and paid pickleball games compares them, simulators included. This one runs in a browser tab and is free.

Can a game help you learn pickleball?

A bit. It's useful for the parts of the sport that are about knowing what happens next.

Scoring is the clearest example. The server calls the score before every serve, and in doubles that's three numbers. You can play a few games and watch how the call changes after each rally. The scoring guide explains each number.

The kitchen is another. Volley while you're standing in it and the referee calls the fault. The kitchen rules cover what counts.

The two-bounce rule and the serve work the same way. The ball has to bounce on both sides before anyone volleys, and a serve into the wrong box is out. You can read the full rules first, or just start playing and look things up when the referee surprises you. And if you wonder why the court is the size it is, the history of pickleball starts on a badminton court in 1965.

How to start

  1. Open the game and choose singles or doubles.
  2. Pick Low if it's your first time.
  3. Before every serve, say the score out loud before the referee does.
  4. Whenever a fault is called, work out which rule it was.

That last step does most of the teaching. After a few games you'll know why points end. To check what you've picked up, try the 15-question rules quiz.
